I worked with Arvind whilst he was in Freetown for about six months in 2024, during which he had been incredibly supportive. He helped me identify a course titled Economics for Foreign Policy, which he recommended for my career growth at FCDO. This course has since proven highly relevant to my current job responsibilities within the Expertise to Support Economic Development program in Sierra Leone. “At a time of high anxiety about the new virus …”

I worked closely with Arvind Mungur from January to June 2020 on the UN system in Bangkok’s crisis response to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

In his role as COVID-19 Outbreak Coordinator under the UN Thailand Resident Coordinator’s office, Arvind was a calm and reassuring leader working closely with me as WHO crisis lead, the Resident Coordinator, and the Heads of UN agencies to pull together and disseminate accurate and timely information to 2,800 UN staff (and their families) at a time of high anxiety about the new virus.

The way Arvind managed the big personalities, egos, and competing interests demonstrated his intuitive coaching skills in getting people to trust him quickly and help them identify solutions to complex problems and achieve the goal of meeting duty of care responsibilities for UN staff and ensuring business continuity. 

Having followed Arvind’s coaching journey, I would especially recommend him as a coach to successful professionals who want their souls re-energised!
